SOHO/EIT, Yohkoh/SXT, and He I  Chains

The modified SOHO/EIT and Yohkoh/SXT images and movies illustrate that rather often the bright points are not scattered chaotically through the solar, but are aligned at definite lines forming the large scale chains and threads of various (sometimes very ) puzzling configurations.
